I'm a Paramedic and have always carried the Field Guide while on shift. It gives me quick and easy access to information such as prescription drugs or Pediatric recommended dosages. My Smart phone is only smart when I have a cell signal and often it will not function in the back of the ambulance. I recommend this book to all EMS workers.

Recieved this reference guide a few weeks ago. I am in paramedic school and we are allowed to use references on tests. So I got this to use instead of the massive 5 book series we could use instead. It has a lot of ueful info and I would definitely take it into the field as it is sometimes hard to remember all the doses for all the meds, especially pedi doses. Highly recommend getting this and keeping it on you in you're a medic or in medic school. Just be aware of your states protocols as they will vary slightly.
